Unsuck Your Resume

Whether you’re just getting starting in early childhood or contemplating switching programs, you need a resume that stands out: when was the last time you looked at yours? In this training, we’ll discuss how to cut the fluff, highlight what matters, and create a more concise resume that’s worth a second look – no matter how long you’ve been in the field or what kind of position you’re looking for. Expect time to be spent on both the content of your resume (the jobs you list, the key duties you write about them, how to note your education and proficiencies) and the composition (the formatting of text, the design elements), and at the end, you’ll feel ready to polish up (or redo!) your resume into eye-catching shape. We’ll also discuss some tricks for tailoring your resume to specific positions, easily entering your resume into online forms, and even a few job-search tips based on your career goals.
