All Things Sharing

“Be nice and share!” We’ll look at young children’s sharing squabbles, forced sharing, and better ways to foster generosity in young children. Heather Shumaker, author of the classic book IT’S OK NOT TO SHARE, offers insights on sharing, long turns, and a way out for you to stop being the constant judge and referee.

Attendees will:

  • Reexamine habits of enforcing sharing
  • Show benefits of child-directed turn taking and practical steps to implement it
  • Examine opportunities for emotional and social learning in child conflicts
